Swiss Cafe in Hong Kong

This joint has lived up to its name- Swiss Cafe that serves chicken wings with Swiss sauce #瑞士汁雞翼 ( for clarification: Swiss sauce has nothing to do with Switzerland but a HK classic) 😍it's a beautiful combination of dark soy sauce, sugar and spices.

A very generous plate of noodles 🍜and 2 whole wings simmered in Dark sweet sauce ($42) . It's served with a bowl of heavenly sauce ( not as creamy as homemade open though ) that you can dip with the carb.

Also, Cantonese Pineapple bun with a fat slap of butter sandwiched in between is one the most evil tea time obsessions at local bakery and chaa chan tang. (Pineapple bun 101: Although it's called a pineapple bun, it doesn't contain any pineapples.)The crispy sugary top crunch might not look exactly the same as those ordinary golden brown one; it's paler , and more powdery, but surprisingly tasted really good and formed a contrast with the pillowy soft bread.

A chilled pat of butter melted slightly inside the bun; tasted like a savoury slice of ice cream.Perfectly matched with hot milk tea at chaa chan tang. Nothing can beat this piping hot bun!

Panino Giusto Hong Kong

Beat Monday Blues at Panino Giusto when you get a mouthful of Langhirano 24-month cured ham, Alba white truffle , Brie, tomato, and rocket sandwiched between two slices of crispy French bread. They all merge together and become the signature handcrafted art piece, Tartufo.

Following "the rule of 7" precisely, all panini has 70 grams of freshly sliced meat, 70 grams of cheese, veggies & 70 grams of French bread. A truly authentic Italian eatery with 30 years of history in Milan. And best of all, it gives a final touch of the whole meal- having caffe Latte that served with a tiny ice-cream bar. I'm ready for the coming week of work! .

Steamed abalone topped with salmon caviar and urchin. The savoury burst of caviar with satisfying pop in mouth and briny urchin added a complex layer of seafood freshness to the whole bite better served cold.

Chinese delicacy: "燈影牛肉" Deep fried sliced beef with honey

Have you ever imagined beef can be as THIN as a piece of paper that allows light to pass through it?
The texture of this freshly deep fried sliced beef with honey(燈影牛肉) is like the delicate crispy pork paper (豬肉紙) from Taiwan but with a uniquely strong flavour of beef shin, giving a hint of addictive Sichuan spiciness. My friend just couldn't stop eating even he's reluctant to all degree of spiciness .
A pretty amazing appetiser matched with dry white wine ( Southern Australia) instead of red, probably because it's spicy. Appreciate the service and food quality at#RegalHotel's Chinese restaurant! .

韓冰 Hanbing 한빙코리안디저트카페

Summer is approaching fast! It's hard for us not to get sweaty but we'll never say no to icy tropical dessert option: Korean shaved ice with fresh mangos and yogurt mango ice cream.

Hanbing(韓冰)'s shave ice is delightfully fluffy and smooth with a hint of milk which adds complexity to the dessert. It's an interesting combination when some of the mangos are sweet; some are a little more sour while yogurt ice cream just balanced the creaminess! Let's beat the heat with this mango shave ice! Worth coming back.

Norayo K Cafe

Sometimes dessert LOOKS way better than it TASTES. I am not requesting those that I will chok on sugar but at least something sweet. This milk shave ice topped with melon (HKD 150) was one of the most surprising disappointment I've ever had in my IG foodie journey. . .

Melon was quite nice; when everyone believes that fluffy shave ice couldn't go so wrong, disaster just began: when it melted in the mouth, it tasted like skimmed milk which left a rough aftertaste. Chocolate syrup and condensed milk just can't help. .

Can't deny we might have set too much expectation because we tried the shave ice dessert at Hanbing an hour before this. I guess we'd better try their hotpot and hot food instead next time.

Our Texas foodie journey continues

Where is the place with these beer platter ( form my previous ig photo)? It's Roundhouse Taproom at #Soho district! Our weekend grill is never complete without BEER.🍺you won't see any big brands here but you can pick any from the signature 25 craft beer taps! .🍻.

Authentic Texas BBQ joint in Hong Kong- we opted for its BBQ combo: oak wood smoked pulled porkbrisketsausage that came with white bread, pickles and white bread. The smoked meat and ribs were slowly cooked till a point it's falling off the bone and they were rubbed with spices, tender and juicy. Better than my expectation : usually the #BBQ meat I had in HK were a bit dry; without much meat broth; required loads of sauce but the Round House Taproom is telling another story.
